Bré Yarro — A Story of Strength, Passion, and Independence
“Bré, you need to eat.”
She barely looked up from her camera. “I did.”
Max leaned against the counter, arms crossed. “Cinnamon Pop-Tarts don’t count.”
Bré sighed, lowering the camera just enough to meet his stare. “They do when you’re busy.”
“Busy working yourself into the ground?”
She smirked. “Busy making something that matters.”
Max shook his head, pushing a plate toward her. “You can make something that matters after you eat.”
She glanced at the food, then back at him. “This is why you’re my best friend. You enable my bad habits, but at least you feed me first.”
Introducing Everett Brown…Against His Will
Everett leaned back in his chair, fingers drumming against the glass of whiskey in front of him. “Love? That’s for poets and people with too much free time.”
Across from him, Edward didn’t even look up from his paper. “And yet, here you are.”
Everett sighed, pinched the bridge of his nose, and muttered, “I blame Reid Elliott for this.”
